Our pre-school children have their own special cottages which are full of interesting resources and activities to help prepare them for `Big School`. Elmdon’s qualified team ensure each child is given the opportunities to develop and progress in a fun stimulating environment.Children also have access to extra weekly music,sport and football lessons.

All aspects of the EYFS are covered to ensure these children are fully confident and developmentally ready for their transition to Reception.

We work closely with parents and carers; all children have an initial assessment once they start nursery. Our registration document gives the parents/carers the opportunity to give us a brief outline of their children which we will then discuss with them to give us a clear start point for us to progress from.

Each child is allocated a key-worker once they have settled. This bond adds to their sense of security and well being.

We further encourage parent/carer partnerships through our closed Facebook group, parents evenings, emails, Graduation Day, Charity Days and daily verbal interaction to discuss their child’s day at nursery. We value building relationships with parents as well as the children!
